BREAKING: Man charged with UBC sexual assaults dies in custody

David Singh Tucker, 28, was found dead early 25 by the staff of the Surrey Pretrial Services Centre. He was awaiting trial for a violent sexual offense at UBC. Tucker was charged with co-accused Yuan Zhi Gao with one count of breaking and entering. Tucker was also charged with three counts each of sexual assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, and robbery, and one count of wearing a mask with intent to commit an indictable offence. BC Corrections has confirmed the death and expressed condolences to Tucker’s family. An investigation is being conducted on the circumstances of his death.
